Guide 4: Decoding Trouble Conditions, Decoding DSC Keypad Trouble Codes & Yellow Lights | ASI
When the system detects a maintenance issue, the Trouble indicator turns on, and the keypad beeps every 10 seconds. You do not need to guess what is wrong—the system will tell you.
How to Handle a Trouble Condition:
Silence the Noise: Press [#] to temporarily silence the beeping so you can work in peace.
Diagnose the Issue: Press [*] + [2] to view the specific Trouble Condition code.
Emergency Override: If a sensor is broken and preventing the system from arming, but you must leave the building, you can override the fault. Press [*] + [2], then press [9]. This forces the system to arm, bypassing the broken zone. This is a temporary band-aid; always call ASI immediately to schedule a permanent fix.
(Trouble Conditions will automatically clear from the display once the physical issue is resolved.)
