Our Experience at ESX | ASI
Protecting commercial facilities means always staying alert and adapting. Business security, from cyber threats to physical defenses, is changing quickly.
To ensure our clients are always equipped with the most robust, reliable, and advanced solutions on the market, we recently traveled to Texas for the Electronic Security Expo (ESX).
What is ESX, and Why Did We Go?
Hosted by the Electronic Security Association (ESA), ESX is the premier educational and networking event strictly for electronic security and life safety professionals. ESX is an environment designed for integrators and monitoring stations to collaborate.
We gathered to talk about operations, customer service, and new technologies. Meeting in person with key partners like Alarm.com and DSC helps us ensure the systems we install every day remain the absolute best in the industry.
We sent leaders from across our company because real security encompasses every part of the client experience. Here are some highlights our team brought back from the expo.
Ron | President, ASI.
"Attending ESX this year felt quite a bit different from previous years. The event was energized by excitement about the future of the security industry and the many new tools available to help security companies grow, adapt to industry changes, and implement best practices to meet today’s challenges.
Artificial intelligence was, by far, the dominant topic throughout the event. Nearly every panel discussion—whether focused on marketing, sales, or operations—shared practical examples of how organizations are actively incorporating AI into their businesses to improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer service.
The security industry now offers more advanced solutions than ever before. This technology revolution is giving our clients smarter, more effective security options."
Cole | Sales Associate.
"I gotta say, ESX was a fantastic experience. It was great meeting folks in my industry, and seeing some of the amazing technology hitting the market was genuinely exciting.
Some things I learned: firstly, this industry is booming right now. Security is more important than ever in our modern age, whether physical or cyber, and it is comforting to know that we operate in a field that places such a high emphasis on keeping people safe and secure. Secondly, meeting other industry professionals in a more casual setting really showed me that, despite some bad apples in the bunch, many individuals and companies operate with integrity and conviction.
Finally, it was extremely eye-opening to see all of the tech! In particular, a better understanding of the market has given me much more confidence when going out to meet with customers, because, when stacked up against the competition, Alarm.com and the other premium services we provide really are the leading example of how the industry should operate. I take a lot of pride in knowing ASI is at the forefront of the industry’s future."
Ryan | Customer Service Manager.
"ESX 2026 was my first Expo with ASI, and I learned a lot! I return to the office full of ideas and inspiration. Here are the core principles that really lit up my time away:
Empowering Our Technicians: ASI technicians aren’t just installers—they are highly trained, trusted advisors. Because they are the ‘boots on the ground,’ they understand these life-safety systems better than anyone. We empower them to take the time needed to listen to the customer, program the system to their exact expectations, and let that natural relationship flourish.
Technology That Enhances, Not Replaces: At ASI, we use AI strictly on the backend to organize our data and handle repetitive paperwork. Why? So that when a customer calls, our staff has more time for personalized, human-to-human interaction. We aren’t replacing human connection; we’re leaving more time for it.
Building Trust Through Face-to-Face Partnerships: Connecting in person with our vendors at ESX adds a vital layer of trust and understanding to our partnerships. It ensures we are bringing the absolute best, most passionately supported technology back home to our clients.
A Mastermind for Industry Excellence: By participating in this high-level collaboration, ASI is actively helping to elevate the standard of the entire security industry. Furthermore, we learned that consumers are seeking security solutions in more places than ever. We are committed to taking the expert advice we refine at events like ESX and making it easily accessible wherever our local community is searching for answers."
Abigail | Marketing Director.
"ESX was great; being at a security expo was a first, and it was an overall awesome learning experience!
Some of what I personally took away from ESX is that AI is expanding to the front lines of security, which is significant, but it doesn't change the core of what ASI is: a local, trustworthy security company that values human connection first.
It was great to hear from other security companies just like ours! My favorite part was the Q&A sessions. Hearing what people were curious about helped me learn things I didn’t know I wanted to know.
Another key thing I realized while at ESX is that, as a company, ASI stays proactive and relevant, and that showed in my marketing seminars. It was reassuring to hear that our efforts and the things we’ve implemented recently are what security leaders have been raving about!
Connecting with partners such as Alarm.com and DSC was also a highlight. I am excited to apply what I learned from ESX to my marketing work going forward, and I’m grateful for the opportunity and the knowledge it’s brought to ASI!”
Summary:
Technology is amazing, and it only works as well as the people who use it. Our trip to ESX 2026 is pushing us further, and we will continue to deliver the best security in the market while always ensuring you get the local, dedicated human support you deserve.
